Blogger, Pauline Njoroge, hot arrested in Mombasa following her tweet about Nyanza and Luo massacre videos.
Popular blogger and political commentator Pauline Njoroge has been arrested.
Njoroge is said to have been arrested by Watamu DCI officers, in Kilifi County.
An officer aware of the developments told the Star they wanted to talk to her in connection with a tweet she had posted. The Jubilee official joined the list of individuals recently arrested by the police. Others include Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino who was charged with subversion.
Babu was arrested alongside other Azimio allies days before the three days of anti-government demonstrations. “There are things we are checking with her,” said an officer who asked not to be named.
She has been an ardent critic of President William Ruto’s administration.
Njoroge has been using her social media platforms to criticise the current regime.
Ahead of the 2022 General Elections, she was among close associates of Former President Uhuru Kenyatta who led campaigns for ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
After the elections, she maintained her loyalty to Uhuru and has been vocal in her criticism of the Ruto regime.
