Saudis are offering Kylian Mbappé €700m salary at Al-Hilal for 1 season.
“It would make him the world’s most expensive footballer and it’s really hard to imagine someone saying no to €700 million.
“It’s a staggering amount of money, and it comes with a willingness from Al Hilal’s side if it’s what Mbappe wants, for him to go to Real Madrid next year.
“One thing I was told is, for Al-Hilal, when you put these numbers in euro terms, it becomes the first €1 billion footballer – there’s almost a desire for that to be the talking point of the summer.
However, contractual commitments to Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have delayed the move, even with rumors swirling in previous summer transfer windows.
This year, the rumors have intensified as Mbappe declined contract renewal with PSG, hinting at a potential move to Madrid, especially with PSG’s board expressing frustration and manager Luis Enrique looking to the future without him.
Amidst the drama, Saudi club Al Hilal has surprisingly entered the race to sign the Frenchman, vying for a significant upset to Madrid’s plans once again.
“Real Madrid, I don’t know. I’m sure that Al-Hilal’s pitch to Mbappe would be, you can stay here if you want the money. And Real Madrid will obviously say, there is no way on earth we can match that salary or even get close.
“Maybe Mbappe looks at it as a one-off, let’s build up the bank account for a year and then almost go and do what I want, follow my dreams.”
