Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Hon. Peter Kaluma decided to storm out of KTN TV Interview amidst a heated debate with Gatundu South MP Gabriel Kagombe.
Homa Bay Member of Parliament George Kaluma on Wednesday evening walked out of live KTN News TV interview hosted by Ken Mijungu, after clashing with Gatundu South Member of Parliament Gabriel Kagombe.
This came after Kagome defended police officers following claims of police brutality from leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance during the recent held anti-government protests.
In a now-viral video shared on TikTok by @bosire_stima, Kaluma could be seen untying the lapel from his suit before placing it on the table and leaving the set.
In his remarks, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) lawmaker insinuated that the opposition was using chaos and violence to get a share of government, remarks that did not sit well with Kaluma.
In response, Kaluma argued that Kagome was insensitive calling him ‘juvenile’ before walking out of the panel despite Mijungu’s interventions.
“I am at a level where I regard myself as a leader and not a child. Ken, if these are the kind of people you bring I discuss national matters with, then there is no need of being here. When you are in leadership, you can’t afford to be childish on matters affecting Kenyans, you people are ‘juvenile.’
“When this is the person you invite me to talk national issues with, I have no business. By the way Ken, I have kept out of the media for a very long time. Over one year, when you are in leadership, you can’t afford to be childish on matters affecting Kenyans. You people are juveniles. Kenya belongs to all Kenyans not just you,” Kaluma fired back at Kagombe.
