A 47-year-old woman, Phumaphi Gloria Gwebu who ordered a hit on her husband, Sipho Shadrack Dimba in December 2019 to cash out insurance money has been sentenced to life in imprisonment by Mpumalanga High Court on Monday.
The suspect hired and paid hitmen R20 000 to organize a hit on her husband,which occurred, and got her husband killed so she could cash in on insurance policies.
The suspect stated she took out five insurance policies for her husband, one of which was to pay R530,000 upon his death. The husband’s body was found two days after the incident. The two were living together with ther children until the hit was taken out on the husband.
