Despite his Pantsola appearance, which is not usually associated with intellectuals, 24-year-old Thusego ‘Slangeni’ Bathobakae who has been on the spotlight for his viral dance video is a final year student at Botswana International University of Science and Technology(BIUST).
In an exclusive interview with Century Buzz, Slangeni revealed that he is currently doing his final year studying Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. The Moiyabana native said that he loves dancing and having fun.
He said he normally performes vibrant dance moves when he is under the influence of alcohol. Narrating what transpired in the viral clip, Slangeni said he was attending ‘Makgasa Festival,’ which required people to wear torn clothes.
“I looked for old clothes from the wardrobe and decided to pick those ones. I then went to buy alcohol at the bar and the people I was with had left with their cooler box so I decided to put the beers in my pockets. I had just arrived at the hall around 2am. That guy wanted to snatch my beers that’s why he pulled me, I flowed with the beat and song,” he narrated.
