There is now little doubt that Céline Dion will participate in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. Although her name has been mentioned for several weeks, the Canadian star arrived in the capital on Monday, July 22. After going to Dior early in the afternoon to take part in a fitting session, her presence in Paris is not insignificant. This Wednesday, the Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games confided on TF1 that her presence in Paris “is not a coincidence” .
The minister concedes that there are, however, “a multitude of possible roles in an opening ceremony .” But according to TMZ , there is no doubt that the star will perform on stage on Friday, July 26. And the American media outlet goes even further: she would be paid two million dollars for a single song. The organizing committee would also pay her travel expenses and cover other expenses for her family, friends, etc. “They pay a huge amount, a ridiculous amount ,” a source told TMZ.
