VIDEO: Police confirmed 19-year-old guy, Ian Njoroge, wearing red Lakers jersey was arrested at Green Span estate in Donholm and not in his girlfriend's place after he beat up CPL JACOB OGENDO at Mirema Junction along Kamiti Road, Kasarani

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Police confirmed 19-year-old guy, Ian Njoroge, wearing red Lakers jersey was arrested at Green Span estate in Donholm and not in his girlfriend's place after he beat up CPL JACOB OGENDO at Mirema Junction along Kamiti Road, Kasarani. 

The suspect, known as Ian Ngige Njoroge, was at his rental apartment at Green Span estate in Donholm when he was arrested.

According to an incident report made at the Kasarani police station, the traffic officer, Jacob Ogendo, was on duty on Kamiti Road when he spotted a motor vehicle making a U Turn on the road causing obstruction to other road users.

Incident report/injury to a police officer
02/06/2024 at around 0800hrs while CPL was on duty along Kamiti Road at Mirema Junction controlling traffic, the officer spotted a motor vehicle which was making a U-turn on the road causing obstruction to other road users. 

When he approached the said motor vehicle, the driver hit the road kerb and got stuck. In the process, the officer managed to enter the vehicle on the front passenger's seat and instruct the driver to drive to the police station. 

On reaching opposite Quick Mart, the driver suddenly stopped and drew a sword from under the seat. The officer jumped out of the vehicle for his own safety, and the driver followed him with blows and kicks. He fell into the trench, and in the process, the driver took his police pocket phone battery and left with it.

 The officer was rescued by members of the public and later sought first aid at Crestview Mother and Child Wellness Centre Kasarani and was referred to Mama Lucy for further treatment. One accomplice, namely Peter Kiragu, is in custody. Efforts to trace the motor vehicle and the driver underway.

Information reads: "⚡UPDATE: The man who attacked a traffic police officer has been arrested.
Sources claim he was hiding at his girlfriend's house."
