Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Motorist, Ian Njoroge, wearing Lakers basketball vest said police officer, CPL JACOB OGENDO asked him for 'a lot of Money' before he assaulted him at Mirema Junction along Kamiti Road in Kasarani.

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Guy wearing red basketball vest has been arrested after caught hiding in his girlfriend place following beating up a traffic police officer, JACOB OGENDO, on Kamiti Road at Mirema Junction in Kasarani.

Incident report/injury to a police officer
02/06/2024 at around 0800hrs while CPL was on duty along Kamiti Road at Mirema Junction controlling traffic, the officer spotted a motor vehicle which was making a U-turn on the road causing obstruction to other road users. 

When he approached the said motor vehicle, the driver hit the road kerb and got stuck. In the process, the officer managed to enter the vehicle on the front passenger's seat and instruct the driver to drive to the police station. 

On reaching opposite Quick Mart, the driver suddenly stopped and drew a sword from under the seat. The officer jumped out of the vehicle for his own safety, and the driver followed him with blows and kicks. He fell into the trench, and in the process, the driver took his police pocket phone battery and left with it.

 The officer was rescued by members of the public and later sought first aid at Crestview Mother and Child Wellness Centre Kasarani and was referred to Mama Lucy for further treatment. One accomplice, namely Peter Kiragu, is in custody. Efforts to trace the motor vehicle and the driver underway.

Information reads: "⚡UPDATE: The man who attacked a traffic police officer has been arrested.
Sources claim he was hiding at his girlfriend's house."
