The tragic death of Emmanuel Michael Okocha, a businessman from Abariba, who was shot and killed by a police officer for refusing to pay a bribe during a routine vehicle check in Aba. 


Despite having all his documents in order, Okocha was shot without provocation. 


The incident has sparked outrage in the community, calling for justice and accountability from the government and demanding an end to police brutality and corruption.


Hon. Alex Ikwechegh, Federal house member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency, strongly condemns the senseless and brutal killing of Emmanuel Okocha (Emma Noko) by a police officer who acted recklessly. 

He expresses his deepest sympathies to the Noko’ family, and the entire Abriba community, and demands justice for late Emma Noko.


Additionally, Hon. Ikwechegh appeals for calm and urges everyone to refrain from engaging in any activities that could disrupt peace in the state, especially in Aba and its environs.
