She has now signed on with the management behind Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, Coco Jones and more.
A rep for Normani said of the new deal:
“With new music on the horizon, and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership. She wishes Silverstein all the best.”
We look forward to the new music and what this move especially will mean for Normani as she struts forward.
Rolling Stone has learned that the former Fifth Harmony member is now being managed by Brandon Creed (Charli XCX, Troye Sivan) and Lydia Asrat (Coco Jones, others) after parting ways from S10 Entertainment’s Brandon Silverstein in May.
“With new music on the horizon, and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership,” a rep for Normani tells Rolling Stone. “She wishes Silverstein all the best.”
The news comes just weeks after Creed announced the launch of his own management company, Good World Management, after six years under Jeffrey and Irving Azoff’s Full Stop Management. Creed’s roster at Good World includes Mark Ronson alongside Sivan and Charli XCX, among others.
The newly announced pact comes in tandem with confirmation that the star parted ways with her longtime manager Brandon Silverstein at S10 Entertainment in May.
Both Creed and Asrat come with notable credits, past and present.
After years of releasing loose singles in the wake of her group Fifth Harmony’s split, Normani has finally announced her upcoming debut album titled “Dopamine” and shared a snippet of a new song.
Fans took note yesterday that the singer wiped her socials, a tactic often used by artists signaling the imminent arrival of a new era. Today, she took to Instagram to post the cover of “Dopamine,” featuring her riding a jet-black rocket against a white background. “Cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM,” she wrote in her caption. A release date was not given.
As a solo artist, Normani has consistently had several stop-starts in the years that followed. She became the first artist to sign to Keep Cool/RCA Records, and a solo album was expected to arrive shortly after. But Normani instead dropped singles here and there, including the hit “Dancing With a Stranger” alongside Sam Smith and “Love Lies” with Khalid. She’s had moderate chart success, with her Cardi B duet “Wild Side” peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and her solo track “Motivation” cracking the top 40.
