Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Klay Thompson and Draymond Green crying during Dejan Milojević Deki’s tribute.
The Warriors honored assistant coach Dejan Milojevic on Wednesday, one week after his sudden death.
Facing off against the Hawks in their first game back since Milojevic’s death, Golden State paid tribute to his memory with a series of gestures ahead of the matchup. During warmups, each member of the Dubs’ and Hawks’ playing squads and coaching staffs sported black shirts emblazoned with the word “Brate”, the Serbian word for brother. The shirt also featured a “DM” badge, the same one the Warriors will wear for the remainder of the season.
With Milojevic’s wife and two children watching on, the Warriors played a video showcasing Milojevic’s contributions to the team, both on and off the floor. It featured clips of Steve Kerr, Kevon Looney and Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic, as well as archival footage of Milojevic.
