Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Macklemore just posted his FULL and UNCUT poem for Palestine on his Instagram.

Macklemore, born Benjamin Haggerty, still lives in Seattle, and the relationship he has with the city and its people often took center stage during a two-hour performance that had fans enraptured until his last words. He returns to Climate Pledge Arena Friday for a second show.

Fans might have been there to hear the rapper’s biggest hits, and he didn’t disappoint, but there were plenty of new songs and a deeper cut or two as well. After a blessing by Ken Workman, a direct descendant of Chief Si’ahl of the Duwamish people, opened the show, Macklemore immediately sparked the crowd with new song “Chant.”

“When I say free Palestine, it’s not against anyone,” he said to loud cheers. “It actually means we should protect everyone. It means equality for all. Respect, peace and love. A right to exist no matter what sector you’re from.”

After, he brought out singer Mary Danielle Lambert to help out with their 2012 hit “Same Love,” which Thursday night did double duty as a plea for peace. Written as a piece of powerful advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, the message translated well.
