Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Fans are saying Azula cast, Elizabeth Yu, looks so soft, innocent with no evil vibes in Avatar: The Last Airbender live action.
In June, the streaming service released the first cast photos of Liu’s Zuko as well as Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley).
The Nickelodeon classic brought fans to a world where people can control one of four elements: water, earth, fire and air. The show follows Avatar Aang on his journey to master each bending form, defeat the Fire Nation, ending a 100-year war and bringing balance to the world.
The release date for Netflix live-action version of Avatar hasn’t been revealed; though, it is said to debut in 2024.
The first season of the series will span the journey of Aang in eight episodes, as the warrior trains to “fulfill his destiny as the Avatar and bring peace to a world that has been decimated by a war waged by the Fire Nation,” according to Variety.
Jabbar Raisini and Michael are set to direct the upcoming series, alongside Roseanne Liang who also co-executive produces, and Jet Wilkinson.
The showrunners of the original series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko departed from their involvement in the Netflix remake due to creative disputes. The two have since worked on an animated movie through their studio and have a film slated for release in 2025.
No official trailer or teasers for the Netflix project have been released. Netflix offered a first new look at the cast of upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series.
The photos released by the streamer introduced the viewers to multiple Fire Nation characters. These include, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, and Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula.
A new image of Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko has also been released.

Michigan: this whole thing is unnecessary and bending will never look good in live action no matter how much money they spend on cgi but for the love of GOD at least recast Azula we’re stuck with her for 2 seasons 😭
Passion: Naaah, she doesn’t have the Azula vibe. She doesn’t look monstrous and evil like Azula. No hatred and evil intend from her look. Hope she will have that dread eyes in the movie.
