Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 21-year-old lady, Asanda Makaluza, appeared at Bishop Lavis Magistrate after being arrested for pouring hot water on 4-year-old boy, Unako Khala, because he was playing at her home’s gate.
Apparently, a lady by the name of Asanda Makaluza had let a child get burned with water, and it was reported that it was because the child was playing at the gate. Pouring boiled water onto someone is very painful and dangerous.
But it had been reported in the media that Asanda had done it to the young child. It happens all the time where children will play in someone’s yard, and since they are not breaking anything, you may leave them to play around.
What she could have done was get to the child and tell him to get off because it is dangerous and he could fall down and get injured. That would be a good response and is expected from some who are older.
Lwazi Pakade wrote: “This morning we are at Bishop Lavis Magistrate Court to listen to the case of Asanda Makaluza as per the decision from last night’s protest.
The case has been postponed to the 14th of July for further investigation.
Asanda will remain behind bars until her next appearance next week Friday.
