The lawyer for Houston Tipping, killed during an LAPD training exercise, was involved the investigation of a rape by four LAPD officers. According to Gage, one of those officers was directly involved in the beating. (Read More Here).
Gage (the lawyer for Tipping’s family) stating a police report that Tipping took names an officer involved in the force during the exercise which killed Tipping. Saying LAPD did not produce a copy of report when requested via CPRA. He said his copy was from the accuser.
The attorneys of the family of late Los Angeles Police Department officer Houston Tipping revealed a new claim against the city of Los Angeles in connection with his accidental death during a training exercise in May.
The Tipping family attorney adds the assault happened in July 2021 and involved four LAPD officers. He said one of the officers was present at the training exercise the day Tipping died from his injuries.
The medical record provided said that Tipping was “possibly dropped” on his head. The late officer’s attorney, however, claims Tipping was beaten to death by other officers in the training drill. Tipping was the officer who wrote the report of the alleged sexual assault, according to the family attorney.
The attorney also said earlier Monday they hope to show new videos of the training Tipping went through.
