According to ABC News, the incident occurred last week, when Dave Skinner, who works for Kelloggsville Public Schools, took notice of a distressed couple while driving his school bus.

According to the report, the man — who appeared to be the boy’s father — brought Skinner to a stop before alerting him that they had been carjacked while the infant was still inside the vehicle. After calling the police, Skinner contacted his fellow bus drivers in the area to keep an eye out in case they were to come across the car in question.

It was Sue Figueroa, a fellow bus driver on duty at the time, that responded to Skinner within minutes, saying she had seen a small boy left near a car park with a blanket on. Figueroa rushed back to where she had seen the young boy, who remained in the exact same location, as she took him onto her bus and safely brought him back to his parents.
