Getting pregnant while a resident of Murang’a County, will earn you some KShs. 6,000 from the county chief, Hon. Irungu Kang’ata. (Read More Here).




This allowance, he says, will be paid in three installments at the tail end of the pregnancy period.


“We will be supporting pregnant mothers with a stipend of KShs. 2,000 for the last two months of their pregnancy and double that amount after delivery, to sum at KShs. 6,000 per pregnancy,” he said.


The financial aid is meant to make the expectant mothers stay motivated and also help grow Murang’as population.
