The rumors have been floating around for quite some time now, but the rapper is finally speaking his truth.

During an interview with The Morning Hustle last week, Akon explained everything his brother would do for him. “He would do shows for me. I can say it now because its been some years. Sometimes I would be double booked and I would send Abou (his brother) to one radio show while I’m doing another radio show.”

Akon also went on to explain a story about how one time his brother got pulled over while he was acting as him and a police officer let him go because he knew his hit song “locked up.”
