Sheriff’s deputies are taking boxes from Civilian Oversight Commissioner Patty Giggin’s Los Angeles home, part of a sprawling investigation that includes Metro and Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.
The COC has held a series of investigative hearings into alleged gangs in LASD. Giggin’s lawyer Austin Dove confirms detectives took a computer, flash drives and an “Official Police Tow” just showed up to take her car.
“This is harassment!” Giggins says. Dove says that is not in the warrant. Tensions escalate.
Giggin’s lawyer provided this photo of four of the twelve deputies who searched her home. More showed up at her office where staff says they seized servers from Peace Over Violence meaning the non-profit cannot function. The Metro contract under investigation ended in December.
