Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Norbert Tizikara and Caroline Aturinda have been identified as victims who died in the train-car collision on Level Crossing (railway) in Nakawa Division, Kampala. (Read More Here).
Caroline Aturinda, who died in the Nakawa railway crossing accident on Sunday morning, had completed her law course at Makerere Law Development Centre and was set to graduate on July 29, 2022.
According to information, Norbert Tizikara, was Architect with the Uganda Police Construction Unit and the proprietor of Redion Designs.
The train collided with a Mercedes Benz ML Reg. No. UBJ 053N and a locomotive and it instantly destroyed the car.
Information reads: “It is on a sad note that we announce the death of Aturinda Caroline which occurred yesterday after a train crash in Nakawa Division. Caroline was an LDC student due to graduate on 29th July, 2022. May the LORD comfort her family during this difficult moment. RIP Caroline.
“While driving through Nakawa, I saw an accident involving a Mercedes Benz which had been moved by the train for about 70 meters. When I reached the wreckage hoping to get occupants there, I was told by the people around that the occupants had been rushed for first aid,” he said
