Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Chelsea have sent paperworks to Sevilla for Koundé deal during the night, pushing to get it over the line. Details after bid on Wednesday: £55m deal, 5 year contract. 

“Chelsea, still waiting for Sevilla’s final approval to avoid new attempts from Barcelona today.

“Barcelona feel Chelsea’s proposal for Jules Koundé is “too important” to be matched. £55m to Sevilla with very good payment terms, almost €9/10m salary on a five year contract.

“Chelsea contracts, ready in Sevilla’s hands since yesterday. Deal at final stages.”
