Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that no fewer than 50 people have been confirmed dead after they were trampled upon in stampede that happened at Polo Club in Port Harcourt. (Read More Here).
The stampede happened early hours of Saturday when a crowd of people forced their way into Polo Club in Port Harcourt where a church called, Kings Assembly was hosting an annual “Shop for free programme”
It was gathered that members of the public tried to force in their way through the gate as early as 6:30am even before the event started which resulted to the stampede that caused the deaths
The death toll is expected to rise as medics battle to save many who we’re critically injured.
