Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it the chopping off of finger by a lion at a zoo happened at Jamaica Zoo in Saint Elizabeth and not at Hope Zoo.
Recall that a few days ago, a lady from Jamaica, OneciaG, shared a video showing the moment a yet-to-be identified Jamaican man is seen practicing animal cruelty to a lion.
During the process, the man put his finger into the mouth of the lion, which out of anger chopped off his finger.
The video went viral and lots of controversies were stirred. A few people were angry at the fact they felt the man was disturbing the peace of lion.
Taking to social media, the management of Jamaica Zoo said the incident didn’t take place at its zoo.
Statement reads: “The awful viral video of a lion being taunted by its keeper did NOT occur at #HopeZoo.
“We definitely do not condone the abuse of animals for the entertainment of guests.
This post below shows our precious #lions, Lucas & Jasmine, relaxing in their loving home at Hope zoo.
“All of our zoo animals are like dear family to us & we always strive to keep them as relaxed & happy as possible. We would NEVER stress out our animals for the amusement of people. Please do not associate us with the disgusting & cruel actions of the present viral video.
#jamaica.”
After much research, it was discovered that the chopping off of a man’s finger happened at Jamaica Zoo in Saint Elizabeth.
