Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa, has donated N2m to Atlanta 96 gold medalist turned taxi driver, Kingsley Obiekwu.
Taking to his Facebook page, Okwuluora, revealed he saw the legendary footballer at Abakpa motor park, where he was loading passengers heading to Nsukka in Enugu State.
Okwuluora wrote: “At Abakpa Motor Park, I saw former Super Eagles Defender Kingsley Obiekwu(Shagari Udoji) loading buses and driving Sienna to Nsukka. I hugged and greeted him then cried like a man. Life can be cruel Yes. He never made it to the highest level Yes but where are his teammates. I will tell Kanu Nwankwo about this. They won Olympics together in Atlanta. Obiekwu last made headline when his younger brother died in the field of play. A NATIONAL HERO, AN IDOL TO MILLIONS, AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALLIST. We can help lift him again IF he is willing. That environment is not for him.”
Giving an update on the issue, Adepoju, revealed that Ahmed Musa, has donated the sum of N2,000,000 to Kingsley Obiekwu.
Adepoju wrote: “UPDATE
Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has donated N2 million to support 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, Kingsley Obiekwu.
Obiekwu was reported to be working as a driver in Enugu.

Obiekwu has confirmed the alert & cash support from Musa.”
Okwuluora said Kingsley has confirmed that he has received the money from the legend. He wrote: “Kingsley Obiekwu Called me now to confirm alert of N2,000,000 from Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa.”
Obiekwu played for Rangers International FC, Enugu and Udoji United in his days.
