According to reports, Jumoke who was hit by stray bullet was buried at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos.

The street trader was shot on July 3, while there was an ongoing rally at the Gani Fawehinmi park, Ojota, Lagos.

Although it was believed that she was hit by stray bullet when policemen were shooting sporadically to disperse agitators, however, the Lagos State Government charged a Yoruba Nation protester, Tajudeen Bakare, popularly referred to as Ogboni Chief, for the sachet water seller’s death.

The charges were later withdrawn for lack of evidence while other protesters arrested were also set free.
