Nigerian gospel singer, Tope Alabi, is currently under serious fire for criticising Adeyinka Alaseyori’s latest song, titled, “Oniduro Mi.” Oniduro Mi means my comforter or my guarantor. (Read More Here).

At a vigil ministration on June 12, 2021, Tope Alabi disagreed that Jesus or God shouldn’t be called “Oniduro Mi.” She openly criticised the title of the song and Nigerians are currently disappointed in her for doing something like that to her fellow gospel singer.

After the video went viral, Nigerians began to drag her for downgrading a fellow singer’s song in public.

Video below

What Tope Alabi did in this video is total jealousy and envy . It is wrong and uncalled for. I love this song “Oniduro” and it means God is my pillar and my comforter. So what is it ? pic.twitter.com/JbQ9VJbbxX

Tope Alabi talking down other Gospel artistes publicly is so low, petty, and unnecessary.

@pita_roks

Tope Alabi has successfully subscribed for dragging this Holy Sunday.

@dextjay

Oniduro meant my pillar, my mediator from the song.

It’s strange cos Tope Alabi sang “Oti Jesu npami” did she chew and digest the song before releasing it?

John

@Johnnie__boy

Tope Alabi just increased the streams of Oniduro because more people will listen to that song.

@Deshysmalls

Why is Tope Alabi criticizing another person’s song this way in public?

If I’m correct, ‘Onídùró mi’ translates to ‘my guarantor’, how is it wrong to tag Jesus as your guarantor?

Green heart

@phunmysweet

What Tope Alabi did was just pure Agbaya behavior, talking as if she is the only one that has direct line to the holy spirit.. you don’t condemn people’s hardwork in public like that, ko boju mu rara

@IamEtubo

Tope Alabi is now the one fighting for God… Talmbout “Emi mimo” told her to shut up when she tried singing the song.
